Spring / Summer 2008

Floral floral floral!

This summer, take time out to stroll amongst the flowers as designers offer a wide variety of floral prints for all skin tones and body shapes. In what is set to be the seasons strongest trend, nothing quite says summer like a new frock so add a touch of flower power and let the sun shine.

Floral prints will certainly be the most wearer-friendly trend of the season all you need to do is decide where you’ll be wearing it. As the temperature rises, and yes it’s hard to believe right now, the scene will be set for summer dresses in all shapes from babydoll, tunic and spaghetti-strap through to halter, bustier and maxi. Varying hem lengths and size of print, think small & delicate as opposed to large & graphic, will ensure you find the ultimate dress that can take you from brunch, to the racecourse and on to sunset cocktails.

But if the thought of all out floral makes your head spin don’t dismay as the trend is extended to an array of beautiful accessory pieces. The simplest of which is a floral cotton scarf easily worn round the neck against block colour for contrast; try as a hair accessory or tie to your favourite bag. Clutches, shoes and jewellery pieces will all be under the influence of the sweetest of flowers so there really is no excuse to join the budding blooms.

Happy shopping!
